Lucky Driver "Shifts Gears" to a Brand New Pickup Truck

On Monday April 4, Raymond Virden, a PGT Trucking company driver since 2004, became the latest lucky winner of PGT Trucking’s “Shift Gears and Win” Ford F-150 giveaway contest. Virden says it really feels great to have won the truck and that he is excited to get behind the wheel of the white Ford F-150.

PGT Owner-Operators and Company Drivers were entered into the sweepstakes when they recruited drivers to join the PGT Trucking family. They received an entry for every hired/contracted referral that they brought on board. New drivers were also entered into the sweepstakes and had a chance to win.

“I recruited two drivers,” says Virden. “The sweepstakes really gives you the incentive to go out and recruit, that’s why I did it.” The first thing he is going to do when he gets his new truck is take his wife for a ride.

Overall, Virden says his very happy working for PGT because of the amount of support he gets and its high rate of pay.

“The ‘Shift Gears and Win’ sweepstakes definitely generated a buzz with our drivers,” says Bob Hoover, Executive Director of Driver Resources for PGT Trucking, Inc. “We are the only carrier that ran a promotion like this for current and new drivers and it’s been a great success.”
